About me
Shalom! My
name is Nadav Ben Gal. I started the Way of Zion tours to share my passion for Israel.
After completing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) compulsory service, I was
eager to learn more about the country I had defended; so, I joined the tour
guide training course. Since then, my main goal has been to share my passion
and love for this country, which I eventually did for the last 10 years by
leading thousands of travelers and tourists, from all ages and backgrounds,
through this beautiful country.
Even after completing the tour guide training course, I kept on studying more about the country. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in History and Archaeology of the Land of Israel from Bar-Ilan University. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Geography, writing a thesis on the challenges and rapid developments faced by the Israeli agriculture.
My family background directed me towards Agri-tourism. I am 11 generations Sabre (native Israeli). My great-grandfather had left Jerusalem to be a farmer due to his desire to cultivate the Holy Land. He settled in the village of Shfeia on Mount Carmel. His son, my grandfather, moved to the village of Zichron Ya'akov where he became a vine-grower and a member of Israel’s first winery, Carmel-Mizrahi. My father is also a farmer, who mainly cultivates olive groves in Galilee
I believe that my family roots, my experience, the knowledge I have gained, and above all, the passion I feel for this land will make your experience much more meaningful and will leave you with memories that will last for a lifetime!
